“The larger 1000 mAh batteries were initially quite noticeably longer lasting between charges than the smaller, standard batteries. They do however suffer from the same relatively rapid deterioration in ability to maintain charge (one more obviously so than the second battery). Regardless of expectations, after around 20-30 charges the batteries will run out of power in a gradually shorter and shorter period of use. Having said that, they still last longer between charges than standard batteries, it's just that when you have to charge them more than once in any (for me) 16 - 18 hour period it just becomes annoying. As a comparison, the best of my standard batteries will last for maybe 2 hours between charges, the 1000 mAh currently last about 4 to 5 hours - when brand new those figures were around 6 and 12 hours respectively.
I realise that the limitations are principally due to physics, material physics and the still evolving area of battery storage science (and micro battery material science in particular) and that BAT/Vype are hostages to those limitations as much as we, as consumers, are but would quibble a bit with the 300 lifetime charge cycle claimed for all Vype batteries as my experience is that the units have lost any charging ability well before that (I doubt that I've got more than 100 - 120 re-charges from any unit before its consignment to the "to be recycled" box).”
