“These look amazing and were very easy to cut and trim to size. Even though I bought the half wall size I still needed to trim about 10 cm off to get to my desired cut length. You could easily use a hand saw, but I used a circular saw to trim off the excess length.
The backing is also easy to cut to trim excess slats from the panels, but make sure you have a sharp stiff-bladed knife and patience to give you the best edge.
The colour of the walnut panel is lovely and very uniform and natural looking.
My only disappointment was that Walls and Floors don’t offer a matching top trim so I made my own, using an ebony nitro stained and wax oiled Pine Cushion Corner 30mm x 30mm, to finish it off (see photos).
The cardboard packaging the Trepanel panels came in from Walls and Floors took almost as long to cut down for recycling as the panels took to cut and put up!! At least the packaging made sure that they reached me in perfect condition.
When I spoke to an advisor they suggested one tube of panel adhesive for one full wall panel (I bought 3 for 5 half wall panels) which I think is about right, but I did have a little left over as I cut my panels down to fit my walls.
All in all I’m very happy with the advice I got from Walls and Floors, and the Trepanel wall panels are lovely and look amazing.
