This is actually not a fault with the grout. These tiles do require sealing prior to grouting, due to the rough texture. This helps prevent grout haze from clinging, and makes them easier to clean.
This is found in the description of the product.
I can't see that this was included on the order, so this is why it sounds like it was difficult.
