“The tiles are well-made and of good quality. It's a random pattern but some of the tiles are so different from each other you almost can't believe they are from the same pattern. If you just order one tile as a sample you might be shocked at how different some of them are. I would recommend getting at least 3 samples to understand the variation.
Although each tile pattern is very different from the others I think there are only about 12 unique tile patterns in the set. You can put each tile down in one of 4 orientations but once you get above about 40 tiles you are going to have to put one down that looks exactly the same as another and some of the tiles have some quite obvious features that are easy to spot when they repeat.
I think this would spoil the random effect if you are laying down a large area. I used 63 tiles of which only 35 were whole tiles and 28 were cut at the edge so I just about got away with it.
If you use them on a large area I think you would need to get all the tiles out, sort them into groups that are the same and think carefully about where you are going to place any repeats.”
