“Love these tiles, colour is great and am happy with colour variation and finish. The first picture attached is probably the most accurate colour. We did have trouble with the protective wax that was applied to the front of each tile that is there to protect during transit. When grouting this wax was was getting into the grout and as we used these in the bathroom need this area to be waterproof. Chunks of wax in the grout and leaving gaps strange marks meant the grout was comprised. That meant my partner and I spent many an hour removing the wax from each tile which was pain staking, I think we worked out it was half an hour for each box. And we had 12 square metres of tile. I contacted walls and floors and they said the wax should come off as they were grouted and didn't seem to understand why the wax would be in the grout? It seems more hassel than it was worth to explain any further, I was offered to send a video etc but the whole issue was already taking up a lot of our time and we didn't want to waste the tilers time either. We had the whole bathroom fit scheduled and had no time for new tiles to be sent or similar. Paying him to remove the wax would have been even more costly. Luckily we are so pleased with the tiles and looking back can laugh at the time spent removing wax whilst watching TV, but we are lucky we had the time and an understanding tiler.”

“Don’t buy. The photos of these tiles online. Show variation in tile colour - perhaps 4 slightly different tones. I bought these tiles because of the colour variation. Exactly the effect I was looking for. I bought 50 of these tiles to use in our utility room and I would say the majority of the tiles are the palest tone. Very uniform. No darker tones at all. Almost as if someone had sorted the tiles by colour into specific boxes and shipped the lightest ones to me. Love these tiles and am hoping Walls & Floors will replace the boxes so I get the variation in the colour shown on their website.”

I am very sorry to that this, The shade variation in these tiles is quote subtle but becomes much more prominent once the tiles have been grouted. They are also very rustic so the light reflecting off the tiles will also contribute towards the shade variation. The boxes are packaged randomly, so it may help by laying some out in the room you plan to lay them in to see if this helps.
