Great watch with all the features I was looking for having had a similar citizen for the best part of the last 20 years. The negative side of things came from the marketing information which did not make clear at all that this watch is radically different in function from its predecessors. It is so different that the instructions for setting the time are based on models of the previous era. Once I had used a scanner, computer and printer to produce the English language instructions for setting the time in a font size that was actually readable, they described the process of pulling out the crown to the first click to move the hands to the desired time then pushing in the crown. Simple right? Not so! It took several phone calls, a visit to two Citizen outlets (the first of which had no clue) before I met a charming receptionist at Wallace Bishops in Fortitude Valley (and whatever you are paying her you should immediately double it!) who absorbed my clear displeasure to not only set the time instantly but have the infinite patience to show me how to do it. The problem is not the watch but the lack of explanation that is based on a completely different set of mechanics in its operation. I would probably not have bought this watch had I known at the outset what I now know about it. Having purchased it and needing the inservice to learn how to operate it, I am not unhappy that I own it. However I believe that it is grossly disappointing that Citizen and its distributors put it into the market without preparing the potential market and support personnel for the huge difference that characterised to new function. There should have been flashing lights and a brass band announcing the new format as it will have great appeal in so many ways for particularly the younger market. As I have said, I would probably looked for a more conventional one had I known about how this one worked before I placed the order but I believe it would have been a marketing plus to have made clear in its promotion that it was very much an updated method of operation.
