The clarity of the movements with its clear sweeping minute hand adds utility especially as I work in a medico-clinical environment and need to take patient pulses. Added to this is the wonderous illumination at night (during night shifts in a hospital setting) which becomes a necessity when time becomes the essence to save a life.
