“The JP2000 is not a flashy wannabe diver with a fancy automatic movement and a look at me dial. It's the real deal with actual dive pedigree, and miles more useful than your average analogue ISO 200m.
It's a bulletproof everyday machine that keeps on ticking.
I like:
- Seamlessly constructed and finished. Citizens are underrated.
- simple but reliable quartz movement. Eco drive would've been perfection though.
- Retro styling that reminds me of my first watches in the 90s
- very legible and easy to read
- dual time
- wears smaller than its dimensions
- actual dive meter
I like less:
- Large and stiff band. Good for diving but its present is noticeable
- 24mm lugs (not a lot of options for bracelets)
- no signed crown (unlike my fugu - also a great watch)
- mineral crystal
- bezel is 60 clicks, has some play VS seikos
- Quite expensive for quartz, but that's probably the dive meter instruments
- personally wouldn't trust the pressure sensor around mud or dust, may get clogged.
Overall a good buy if you're actually into water sports and want something with old school charm that will last a long long time.”
“Watch was ok but did not have the no dive limits on the strap.
The packaging was tacky, and instruction book non exsistent.
As a purerist I dont like to get a qr code as watch instructions
Is this watch real or is it a good clone?”
