“This is nothing more than a shrewd marketing ploy by Seiko to have a limited edition (1000) aimed at the Australian and New Zealand markets. This piece is a solid buy at $800, certainly not the $1500 retail! I own the eucalyptus version with the 4R35 movement, and the 6R35 movement on the Noosa is worlds apart as far as accuracy and power reserve. Again, I would recommend the Noosa at the reduced price, but one thing to keep in mind is that it is a heavy beast, particularly for those with a small wrist, but it does wear surprisingly well.
