Well folks, I learned a lot more about this watch than I was planning to at this time. Straight out of the box, it wasn't running. It looked new however, with all the factory wrappers in place. It had a Swiss Renata (good brand) 371 silver oxide battery that was very dead. The voltage was 0.455V compared to the 1.55V rating. The Recta uses a Japanese Miyota Caliber GP03 quartz movement. This is an inexpensive unit, so don't expect great precision in the hand positions. The Watch itself is made in China I like the watch now that it runs. After a few days of testing, it's more accurate than my phone. This is the only watch I have that came with detailed illustrated instructions for adjusting the linked band. Face markings are easy to read despite the complex design. A luminous marker coating activates well under room light. The hour, minute, dual time hands, plus all the primary numeral markings are luminous, and the effect is very pretty. The watch is very light for its size since the case walls are fairly thin. Maybe not impressive for the connoisseur, but this design is fine with me since I don't like heavy watches sliding around on my wrist. The crown diameter is very large. It might dig into your skin when wearing the watch on the left wrist. I wear mine on the right, and I like the ease of adjustment this crown gives. Extreme care must be exercised in selecting and using a case press die so as not to contact that big crown and bend the stem.
