“I wouldn't recommend it for use on the sports bottle. For some reason the threads make a damn near unbearable screeching sound when threading on or off on that bottle. I pretty much leave the cap off at the office all day because it's so loud it actually disrupts my coworkers to be opening and closing it throughout the day.
Additionally, the threaded inner sleeve of the cap has become disconnected from the outer metal sleeve somehow. It spins in there now and therefore can no longer be tightened down enough to achieve a waterproof seal.
I will say the cap is nicely weighted and feels sturdy.
