“The lid is completely inaccurate in recording the amount of liquid drank. It will not calibrate to a frosted glass waterdrop bottle. I can have the entire bottle drank and it will have recorded nothing in the app. When it does record an amount drank it is always drastically less then what was actually drank. Example the entire 600ml bottle drank only water no ice added and I am lucky if maybe 178ml is recorded. I do like the blue light filter that is supposed to eliminate germs, but I have no way to know whether it is actually filtering correctly.”
“I've had two LUCY Caps. Neither were accurate when it came to tracking how much I drank. And sometimes, the light would blink (indicating a reading was being sent to the app), then nothing would appear in the app to correspond with that reading. I always have to edit the entires in my waterdrop app to reflect what I actually drank. Otherwise, the cleaning functionality works well.”
“Sometimes it doesn't seem to detect proper liquid levels with my glass Olivia 1L bottle, but overall I like it. It reminds me to drink water, which is good with my ADHD, and I also like it for travel since it can sanitize my water. The sanitize process goes pretty long, but that's not a problem for me. Hopefully that means it's just being thorough :)”
“I have been covering this item since I found waterdrop and finally earned enough rewards points to get it. Love love love it! Sadly on one of my bottles it was leaking and I couldn’t figure out why, shortly after sending my concern to waterdrop I received an email that my bottle could be faulty and they are working on fixing the matter. Customer service never falls short with this company!”
“Doesn't always track my water well, but extremely helpful when it does. Mostly bothered that they specify what bottles it will fit on, but it doesn't actually fit on those bottles. Wouldn't fit on my glass bottle, even though I got it late 2022 and it has the waterdrop logo on the bottom. They sent me another glass bottle - didn't fit on that one either. If you get it, make sure you have a metal bottle to put it on.”
“Okay… so I have a tiny kitchen and am really bad about using my water pitcher that also filters water. I regularly drink water out of the faucet because I’m in a hurry. I know, it’s a bad habit. The water in our town is “treated” but still. So I really wanted to get a Lucy cap to help with the water cleaning (filter doesn’t seem to be the right word as it doesn’t run through anything) feature as well as the water reminder. I will
Drink a lot of water in a sitting but then be thirsty later. So the UV water cleaning takes a lot long ER than I expected, the light reminder seems to flash a lot …. The water actually does taste differently (I made my brother do a taste test too)… all the natural faucet water flavors are gone (probably a good thing yeah? Also pretty scary considering I’ve been doing it for three years!). My only complaint (and maybe a solution exists) is that there was an audible alert reminder in addition to the flashy light. Even if it was through the phone app. :)”
“I love the bottle and was very surprised just how much more water I drink out of a clear glass bottle than a metal bottle. Being able to see just how much water I am or am not drinking is very helpful!”
