“I have used the C2 cassettes for years and it gives me readings for pH and free chlorine. I switched to C5 to get some additional readings. The tradeoff is that they last half the time of the C2. In parallel I've taken water samples to Pinch-a-Penny and Leslie's pool supply stores, and the readings from my C5 don't seem to be accurate. I switched my subscription to this one ... two C2s and one C5. I will likely switch back to just C2s”

“I ordered the combo pack as I'm interested to see how the C5 works; it would be nice to track alkalinity, hardness, and CYA automatically. I started with the C5, and for some reason, the unit is only taking readings once every other day instead of every day, and hasn't yet taken any alkalinity, hardness or CYA readings. I know these aren't as frequent, but I expected them to show up by now.”

“As a retired chemist, I love the WaterGuru system. The problem with this pack, and with the system in general, is that the C2 lasts for 58 days so you get 116 days of measurement in this pack, while the c5 only lasts 29 days. WaterGure customer service says you can't take out and replace the cassette later but what you really need,analysis wise, is a once or twice a week C5 test followed by a week of C2 tests. By the way customer service is not correct. I have removed both cassettes and replaced later successfully, but you have to keep them wet, i.e. in a container of water.”
