“The instructions for the Fibre Optic CHRISTMAS TREE Angel suggest it is for table use, indeed there are NO instructions on how to place SECURELY on top of a tree at all - just to place on a flat surface!!. The hole upon which to mount of a tree looks very flimsy and more of a balancing act rather than a dedicated hole which suggests it is ADAPTED to go on top of a tree.
The proof will be its longevity - it replaced my 12" Premier Angel which was 23 years old and had a robust plastic aperture in the base in order to fix it to the tree. - it was this that finally failed when removing it in January.
I appreciate that the mechanics are lighter on this product, it being LED rather than a halogen light bulb and associated mechanical mechanism but I would still expect a secure fastening to the tree at the price.
Time will tell when I set it up next Christmas.”
