Didn't come with a base, which I realise was noted in the Product Features section, but given how the pictures all show a base I would have expected that fact to be slightly more well highlighted. In the end I opted to get a base from B&Q rather than pay for delivery.
The parasol itself feels a little cheap. There is a metal plate on the crank handle which started peeling away immediately.
Also there is no tie to secure the parasol canopy when closed (our Ikea cantilever parasol has one attached to the canopy). As a result it rather flaps around in the wind.
That aside it ultimately provides shade which is the job it's designed to do, so can't complain too much. But I probably wouldn't buy again.”
