“Assemble on a flat piece of 18mm plywood screw 3 wooden stops into the plywood so you can push the main upright against them (you should have the screwed in louvres fixed in position at this point) next step put the louvres in position. You will notice the louvres have a hole over on one side push the louvres all the way in to the slots so the hole is out of view. When you assemble the other side you can withdraw the louvres so the hole is used as a marker not to withdraw the louvres too far. Finally push the louvres home by pushing the final long upright firmly then fix the ends. This procedure will save you a lot of stress and frustration.”
“Found this really fiddly to put together especially when it comes to putting the second edge on - we used a ratchet strap to hold in place the pieces we had in place to stop them falling out as we did the other end.
Once attached to the pergola it is really sturdy and provides a great barrier between us and the neighbours bathroom window, meaning we can no longer see them and vice versa. We are considering purchasing another for the other side.”
“Another brilliant piece of kit but putting it together nearly broke my assistant and I...my god, trying to get all those louvres in, well, staying in was horrendous.
Got it in the end but jeez...dreadful.
Going to try from the middle and then out both sides for the other one to see if that's any easier.
If the slats were just a little longer it would be easier to keep them from slipping out during assembly.
Better still..please deliver already assembled.
I was going to order another 3 louvre panels but probably won't know unless the next one using a different method is much easier.
Still a brilliant louvre though.”
