These bulbs seem very good so far. Considering the price differential compared to the halogens we were using before then the main test will be how long they last, which I can't comment on yet as we've only had them a few weeks. If they do last as long as advertised then LEDs have become a no-brainer to me. The light quality from the warm white is good, not harsh and similar to the halogen candles they are replacing and aesthetically, they look very similar. We have 3, 3W bulbs in a chandelier and the light level is just about OK, maybe slightly down on the 40W halogens, might go for 4W next time. I'm just starting to switch to LED bulbs, so don't have any point of comparison, but so far I don't see any reason not to switch over all the bulbs in the house as just about every type is now readily available.

Great bulbs give a nice bright light but when used on a 2 way circuit like hallway and landing bulbs glow slightly when off due to a small residual current can be annoying if installed somewhere like a bedroom, otherwise very happy with the purchase.

I purchased these during a 30% flash sale so got a really good deal. Have been looking for LED G9's for some time but most were much bigger than the halogens being replaced and would have looked ugly as they would have protruded from the fitting. These ones are virtually the same size as the halogens and are almost as bright with a warm white glow. They feel quite sturdy and you don't have the problem with halogens of not touching the glass with bare fingers which shortens their life. I have 2 fittings identical except one has 3 bulbs and the other has 6. When the 3 bulb fitting is switched off there is still a faint glow from the bulbs all the time. The 6 bulb fitting does not do this. After some research, it appears there is an induced voltage from the wiring allowing a very small current to flow and therefore dimly lighting the bulbs. As there is not enough current to feed the 6 bulb fitting, these go off when switched off. The 3 bulb fitting is in the hall so doesn't cause a problem - I may not have been so happy if it was in a bedroom! The induced voltage problem affects 2 way circuits more than 1 way as there is more wiring involved and both our fittings are 2 way. Overall very happy with the new bulbs and looking forward to lower power consumption and longer life!

The G9 3W LEDs are a replacement for a prior bulb that failed due to an unexplained capacitor rupture, in two bulbs simultaneously. These new bulbs are inexpensive compared to the originals, brighter and so far work perfectly.

These globes provide a nice colour, slightly whiter than the halogen bulbs they replaced. But they are not as bright as the 33W G9 halogens they replaced the light is somewhat diffused so its not as good for reading etc. But overall I'm pretty happy with them so far.

I am testing them in wall lights as a replacement for halogen bulbs which have had very short lifetimes. The light output is very good and controllable. Only time will tell how the lifetime is.
