Charcoal filter for wine cooler is easy to use and convenient. The cost is ridiculously overpriced and if there was an easy alternative I would not keep reordering.

This filter is extremely over priced and you can in fact break the seal and refill yourself. The filter does come with high quality, carbon-based AIR filter pellets, not the WATER filter product found at most pet stores. You can find the higher grade charcoal, though, for a higher cost than pet store charcoal, but still a huge savings over this product.

Easy to install and works okay. It seems way too expensive.

Difficult to order over the phone. I was told by customer service that I needed a "specialist" just order a filter for the EuroCave and it was a holiday weekend and none were available. Finally was able to get it on-line and the price was reasonable.

EuroCave great for long-term wine storage; I've had mine for 11 years already, and no problems. Charcoal filters are an annual necessity to keep things clean inside, but at [$] bucks a pop they are pretty expensive. [...]

You just pull out the old one and put in the new one. They are good for a year but are quite expensive. [...] Shop around for a good price on the item [...]
