“Great, well priced system with a few minor glitches. The concept is ingenious and the product costs a fraction of the primary competitor offering argon powered dispense and seal to allow multiple bottle samples over weeks or even months vice days. It looks really cool on the shelf and in most cases, dispenses perfectly. When using, a metal extendible "straw" (looks like an old-fashioned car antenna) is inserted into the rubber adapter that both seals the system and allows the pressure dispenser to be quickly adapted. The rubber adapter is pushed into the bottle where it remains until the bottle is empty. It really does allow for having multiple open bottles for an extended period and the seal is solid enough to support bottle storage on their side when required for cooling (whites, etc). The pressure adapter/dispenser easily mounts and is removed from the stopper closed bottle in seconds and the seal is great. The wine is dispensed cleanly and oxygen does not enter the bottle to spoil the wine. The argon gas cartridge provides all the pressure required and a blanket of inert gas to sit above the wine in the bottle. Cartridges are good for 2-3 bottles so they cost breaks down around $1.50-2.00 per bottle depending on the cost of the cartridges. The negative is that the extendible straws are not always perfectly sealed (compression only, no other seal) between segments and some gas can leak through the straw which slows down the wine delivery and wastes some gas although it gives the impression of "aeration" of the wine. Wine Enthusiast was immediately responsive to my inquiry and sent replacements, most of which worked well. Overall, while this weakness is a bit of an issue, it's not disqualifying and the responsiveness of the company suggests that long term functionality of the system is not going to be a problem. Overall, I highly recommend this system and am impressed with its overall design - it is an attractive and functional piece of bar equipment!”
