Order 2 wine racks for my wife for our anniversary. Shipping was prompt and all ok on that part. Then the adventure started... The measurements quoted by customer service prior to shipment were wrong. The base is 15.5" deep and the back of the base must be just over 6" from the wall after assembly, meaning total clearance to the front of the rack from the wall is almost 22". Because of this, we had to adjust our desired location. Customer service had originally assured me that the 15" measurement quoted in the item description was the total depth from the wall to the front of the base. Not true. If the assembly info was online as a PDF, this would be easy to see before ordering, as it is nicely dimensioned in the instructions. While assembling the wine racks, it was evident that no quality control check was done prior to packaging. In the two boxes, we had the following issues: 1. One box had two right rails (missing left rail) - made proper assembly impossible 2. One base had some severe scratches that would be very difficult to inflict after it had been packaged 3. 3 of the metal shelves were completely missing 4. 1 wood shelf was severely damaged & 4 more had easily visible dings Also, prior to reaching out to customer service, I checked my credit card bill and noticed that $100.72 more was applied to the credit card than the receipt stated. Apparently, the credit card was billed the full amount before the discount code was applied. Don't trust the receipt!!! Make sure your credit card is charged the correct amount. I called customer service and since they couldn't ship that many individual parts separately (???), they sent a whole new replacement rack, so I could scavenge parts from the third rack to complete the original two. As it turns out, almost the full third rack parts were needed as four of the wood shelves in that one were damaged. So after three boxes, I was able to make 2 complete racks, with a few random parts left over. Customer service also fixed the credit card charge, but no way this should happen in the first place. In the end, after some hassle, we have 2 racks that look great and hold a lot of wine, but aren't installed where we wanted to put them due to the faulty info on their dimensions. In any event, be prepared to deal with quality control issues and check your credit card statement if you use a coupon code.

This product looks great at a distance and was not too difficult to assemble. However, for the price, the quality of the shelf alignment and final appearance up-close are not in line with the price tag.

Definitely solid racks, one of my shelves had a chipped corner, but I was able to glue a majority of the piece back on. And it's not in a daily prominent place where it can be seen. It's currently holding up without being attached to the walls in my cellar. While I wait till we decide exactly where it's going. Definitely a sturdy weight. Relatively easy to put together
