“I have to wonder...did the designer of this decanter think to pour a full 750ml of liquid into it? The widest point should be where the surface of the wine is with a full 750ml in it, shouldn't it? That way if you want to leave it for a while before drinking--or returning to the bottle--you'll have maximum surface area. THAT would have earned 5 stars for me! That said, this device does easily what I normally do with a bottle of wine: decant, then return to the bottle. Why? Easier to pour from the bottle; people can see what the wine is; and if you don't drink it all, it's in the bottle where you can vacuum stopper it overnight. You can also decant and rebottle several wines before a get together. Before I bought this, I would use a funnel to return the wine to the bottle. This is easier and faster. PLUS, you can "double decant": return the wine to the bottle, then flip it and decant a second time. As a connoisseur of "reasonably priced wine", I think the under $10 wines benefit from extra decanting. Only real negative here is the $12.50 shipping. Most of Wine Enthusiast catalog is available through Amazon. Not this. I have a few friends I told about this, and two so far have said, "I'll wait until it's on Amazon Prime." I guess I should have polled all my friends so we could pool our order to get it to $200 and free shipping. Anyway, if it shows up on Amazon, I'm buying another as a gift.”

“This is an affordable decanter with a small footprint that allows you to easily decant and aerate a 750ml bottle of wine, and recant it back in tothe bottle for the table or to travel. It was so popular as a gift for the holidays that it was sold out, and a post holiday purchase took 6 weeks to get restocked and fulfilled. It is a good value and can be used as a regular decanter as well.”

“I really loved this decanter until it broke. I don’t know if it had a crack and the the weight of the bottle was to much but it only lasted me a few weeks. I’m debating on buying another one.”

“What a nice little apparatus and toy to have! It works very well except for having to hold and balance it when pouring the bottle in. I was under the impression it could easily be left to pour on its own, but you have to hold it in order to prevent an accident. Otherwise, we love it!”
