“I used this product in our last wine cellar, and liked it so much we designed the new one around it. We used 3/4" maple plywood (screwed to the studs and glued to the wall with construction adhesive) as a backer, and then fastened this racking system to it. Pros: 3-deep rack uses same amount of space as wood racking, so bottle count is equivalent. Labels can be seen eliminating need for bin tags. Can be trimmed to fit specific heights. Cons: If you have single bottles of specific wines you lose some space if you want to display, or you lose sight of the bottle behind others. This is not a problem if you use a wine cellar software program to locate your bottles in the cellar.”
