“I’ve been in the Gunsmithing business since 1977, I saw this vice on woodcraft and always wondered if it was what it was hipped up to be, so I ordered it. This thing is a charm especially for holding gunstocks for inleting which I do a lot of. I can’t believe I have waited this long to purchase one, I’m glad I did. It isn’t only good for wood, works great for holding barrels and or any gun part you need clamped”

“These are great vises for all sorts of work. I do everything from flintlock work to hickory golf club repair, and straight up carving small items using this vise. I'll get another one or two when they put them on sale. Hard to play full price when they used to put them on sale with regularity. I've had mine close to ten years.”

“I too bought this vise for use in making black powder guns. I made some wooden jaws and glued felt over them. I turned to all right. I expect to get a lot of use out of it.”

“This is an awesome vise. I bought this specifically as a gunstock carving vise. I had seen good reviews on forums and thought I would take a chance. It is great. I am very happy. Woodcraft is a great place to get gouges for carving also. James Turpin say. ;)”
