The efficiency of the dust collector greatly increased when I replaced the original separator. The connections on the WoodRiver are sealed and the gasket on the lid is tight. I'm very pleased.

I have this lid which I've connected to my Shop Fox dust collector. The impeller feeds the side with the elbow; the other side connects to the dust bag. The issue i have is that the force from the impeller blows the lid off the garbage can. I used a bungee cord and threaded through the handles to hold the lid down. Turn it on, it flexes the lid off the can on the opposite sides. No problem, I installed U-bolts on the opposing sides and used another bungee. Turn it on and it still forces the lid off the can. I need a way to secure the lid to the can so I can easily remove it but still provide a good seal between the lid and the can

This system doesn't seem to stop much from getting to my vacuum, and the elbow on the inside keeps coming off. I am going to get something else. Probably a dust deputy.

It's not a bad way to create a cheap cyclone pre-filter, but the design could be improved. A proper cyclone has the air coming into the bin near the perimeter and the output (air going into the dust collector) centrally located. Both ports on the lid are located mid-way to the wall of the bin, so it isn't very efficient. I fixed this by adding another 90 degree elbow and directing it to the middle of the lid (essentially making both 90s point towards each other); now air exhausts closer to the center of the bin and the cyclone works considerably better. The whole setup is on the inexpensive side, but it is kind of annoying to spend an additional $12 when it could have been avoided with a properly designed product

I purchased the Wood River Dust Connection connector for my 70 Harbor Freight dust collector about a year ago. When it's about half full, I empty my trash can. Usually, there is about 1 /4 of a cup of dust in my bag. In addition to wood chips not going through, my propeller is bound to make my dust collector last longer. Money well spent.

I use it for my miter saw and it works pretty well. I use it for my orbital sander and it does nothing. The dust goes directly to the filter on my shop vac. I am considering Oneida unit.

This product works better than expected, and I have not had to empty my dust bag Since December. The trash can collects the overwhelming majority of dust and debris. It gets connected to a table saw, router table, and a jet 16/32 sander. Zero complaints for this product, it’s not pretty but beats paying $500 plus for a pretty one.
