“I bought this to replace an earlier model Wixey DRO on my Dewalt DW735 planer. The earlier one was more than 10 years old and suddenly started displaying different numbers even when it wasn't being moved. The new one used the exact same mounting holes as the old one which was convenient. The display is brighter and calibration was easy. I do wish they offered the unit with a power supply adapter so you didn't have to use batteries. The older model used the 2032 coin battery which didn't last very long. The new uses two triple A's so we'll see how long they last in comparison.”

“I purchased more than a year ago and have found the unit to be unreliable. Vibration causes the unit display to flicker and lose calibration, not helpful. Reached out to the manufacturer and got no reply. Calibration does not agree with repeated caliper measurements so I’m just not sure. I don’t count on it. Woodcraft salesperson suggested I should have bought a good one - go figure?”

“This DRO is a good idea, it came with my 1632 drum sander. My biggest issue is the led is not back-lit so it is VERY DIFFICULT to read.”

“I had little trouble mounting this guage on my Ridgid thickness planer and found it to be handy for getting really accurate results. It can take a little while to calibrate but thatâ€™s expected. Highly recommended.”
