“I had been fighting with the alignment on my table saw for along time. I would try to make an adjustment and it never cut correctly. I would have to force my wood through the saw. Sometimes it felt dangerous. I was burning the wood forcing it through the cut. I knew something was wrong but couldn’t get the blade and fence alignment correct. This gauge worked great. Easy to use. I got my saw cutting like a hot knife through butter again.”

“It works well, but you trade consistent positioning for the flexibility and ease of setup. Using it requires that you press firmly on both ends of the gauge while you slide it along the miter slot or you will get widely varying measurements. The gauge itself is designed to rotate up or down, and that mechanism arrives a bit too loose. That means you have to be careful not to bump it or you'll have to zero it again. To dial in my saw, it took repeated efforts of setting, resetting zero, and finally achieving my goal. I was able to get it from 18 thou to 1 thou difference. The box the tool arrived in did not have any stuffing (bubble wrap or paper,) so the plastic case undoubtedly bounced around a lot in transit. Probably better to buy at the store if you can.”

“I thought my Sawstop PCS was well tuned in with squares and feeler gauges, but this indicator does a great job aligning the table and the fence.”
