“I have several of these because I wanted a sturdy blast gate, which they are. However they let dust leak out, requiring constant cleanup and loss of suction. The problem is that the metal slide is too thin for the slot. Fortunately, they can be disassembled and the sliding gate can be replaced. I had some styrene sheets that were the correct thickness and a hole saw made the needed opening. Now the slide is a friction fit so no need for the locking screw and no more dust leaks with better suction at the tools.”
