It is great for detailed angle cuts on small boards but the miter bar is only 8" long so it is not going to do much if you are trying to make cuts on larger panels.

Like any precision tool it takes a little patience and attention to detail to get it dialed in. Once it is there it is awesome! I hesitated due to price but am now totally glad I went for it. Now that I use it as part of my woodworking, it is kind of hard to imagine working without it.

I wasn't sure this miter gauge would be worth the price when I bought it, but it is. All of my crosscuts are better compared to those made with a standard miter gauge but I particularly like the extension that helps me cut long boards accurately.

I use a Craftsman 10 inch table saw dating from the late 1970s. Over the years I have tried many miter gauges, some better than others. I purchased my Incra 1000HD several months ago when I was in the middle of building a Stickley lamp design which required dead on accuracy. All I can say is WOW! The miters were all dead on accurate with an extremely short learning curve. I would not hesitate to 're omments it!
