As some other reviews abroad on the internet mention, if you're buying from a retail store, open the package and inspect it before you leave the store. I ordered it at my local Woodcraft. When it came in and I opened the package, it looked as if someone dropped a fast spinning drill or router bit on the fence. There were scratches and small gouges in the metal (aluminum I think). They didn't affect performance but if you pay for something new, it should be new. I had to return it and get another one which took 2 weeks to get in. Woodcraft staff was supportive and helpful and I was very thankful for that. After it came in and I inspected it at the store. Looked good. Be sure to go so far as to take it out of the box and check for a straight fence as others had issues there. The fence slides kinda rough because what holds it in track is just a nut. I'm looking to improve that now. The manual isn't the greatest. Thankfully some people have put helps on YouTube.

While the fence works great, I was quite dismayed when I got the box home and saw "Made in China" stamped on it. When I bought my Router Lift, it claimed to be made in Canada, and I support companies that do not job out manufacturing to repressive, communist companies. I mistakenly assumed they made all their products in Canada. I strongly urge them to find other sources.
