“The title says it all. This is plane works, but is heavier than I would like for it size and itâ€™s awkward to hold in one hand. Not only that, the lever cap is in such a position that unless youâ€™re extremely careful it pops open requiring you to stop what youâ€™re doing and reassemble the plane.q”

“I have owned one of these planes for several years and have used it enough to form an opinion. The plane has plenty of mass to help push through a cut. The blade is nice and thick and sharpens up very well. Yes, you can do a good job of planning with this product. However, it is the most uncomfortable plane to use that I own. It is not my first go to choice for that reason. For me the rear handle of the plane is way too high and it forces my hand into a very uncomfortable position when doing precise work which is what a good block plane is good for.”
