I like the design, but this plan is missing information and contains many errors. In particular, the "Directions" are incomplete and out of sequence. Be ready to read it 3-4 times and then use your experience to make it work. The upside is the $3 price.

doesn't show total material needed to build unless you total it up yourself from the cut list. Also it isn't the picnic table shown in the photo. Overall decent plans but the fact that it lacks what you need to buy in total to build makes it about useless, like a recipe without the ingredients to make it.

To begin, it’s $3, I get it. However, the plans are not for the pictured table. The under-seat framing is entirely different and the top of the table on the plans is an inlay table not at all similar to the pictured table. If you want to build any octagon picnic table, these will work well. If you’d like to build the pictured example table, buy elsewhere.

Plans have missing info. I lost money to materials because of the missing info. Plans have a cut list (which isn’t accurate). Plans need a complete list of items you need to purchase before building. There also needs to be a cut list overlay showing what pieces to cut from your boards and at what angle l/length. The cut list and angels is what cost me on these plans. They didn’t do a good job in making this part clear.

Might be helpful to note on cut list that lengths are overall before miters on ends. Had to calculate D in order to be reasonably sure of overall cut length. Alternative might be to show overall lengths of pieces in Figure 2.
