I've had two of these stools and in both cases the plastic seat failed with various cracks over time. It was a practical shop stool while it lasted. No replacement parts available from Woodcraft. Argh ! I'll admit that I'm a 250-lb six-footer, but... Woodcraft: Do it like Sears did in the old days -- provide replacement parts. PS: Based on web searches it looks like the original manufacturer was: Comfort Products: https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1328055/Comfort-Products-60-101601.html?page=4#manual

Like many other reviews, I have had cracked or broken plastic parts on this stool, which is disappointing. However, Woodcraft customer service has stepped up first to replace a cracked seat and now a broken back rest both at no cost to me. These folks set the bar for courteous, timely customer service and product warranty. Thanks. I will be back to do business with Woodcraft. Glenn--Baton Rouge

Cracked substantially within short time and barely used at that. Customer service no help nor the store in Hawaii. Had some left over glass and resin and repaired it myself. Looks like crap but hey it works and is much safer than it was before originally.

I purchased one of these a few years back and have had to manufacture feet from wood blocks to replace the plastic ones almost immediately after putting the stool into use. Today the seat broke. No way to repair. Really disappointed in this item.

I thought this would be a good stool for my shop, especially with the back rest to support my sometimes achy back. But the instructions were so lousy and poorly written that the stool got misassembled and now the foot rest is not in the right position and the stool can't be taken apart to fix it. Won't make the mistake of buying another WoodRiver product.

The chair is comfortable and the height adjustment fits my shop requirements. I would have liked it to come with casters. However, I did find a set in the Rockler catalog. They are the Slipstick Rubber Caster Wheels Pack of 5 (#48115). These fit perfectly. Now I can glide along the floor. Be aware that these wheels will raise the height, but it is now a more versatile chair for me.

A very nice chair. I have 2. The works are very durable. Comfortable to sit in. About a month and a half ago the seat itself cracked. Love to chair so I contacted Woodcraft to see it they sell a replacement seat. Woodcraft in turn sent me a replacement FREE of charge. That was really nice of them. With customer service like that you can't go wrong. Woodcraft you have a customer for life!!! Mario R.
