Easy project to do. The screws to attach grinder to the base are a bit of a pain to put in but all in all a great kit!

After I received the mechanism, the directions on the box stated I needed Jam Chucks 158353, which I ordered. The directions were to drill a 1 inch hole and the Jam Chuck is 1 1/16 inches. I called Tech support and he said these Jams are not for this grinder even though it said so on the box, so He gave me my money back. Once at the credit dept, she could not find my order for the Chucks; hence, I could not get a refund on my credit card. Does not seem like the company has their act together. Now I have a credit within the company, but I am very weary about ordering anything from them.

I ordered the pepper grinder and on the box it said I need jamb chucks 158353, which I ordered. I was to drill an 1 inch hole and the jamb chuck is 1 1/16 inches so it did not fit. I called tech and they said the jamb chuck was for another grinder not this one, so they would give me a credit on my card. I was sent to the office to get me the credit but they could not find the order used to receive the chuck. I now have a credit to use but I am afraid to deal with this company.

I like everything about the project. The only thing that doesn't make sense is why the manufacturer stained and polyurethaned the crank handle. If you want it to match your base (say you used walnut) you have sand it down and re-do it. Why doesn't it come unfinished in the first place? No matter. I would've gave it 5 stars otherwise. It'll make a good Father's Day present.
