“I was confused as to why the key would not operate the lock assembly and after investigating it became clear that the unit was assembled wrong. I lifted the four tabs and reversed the plate, reassembled and the unit worked like it should. Woodcraft needs to improve their quality control with the company that makes these locks.”

“I made a box with 1/2" wood. This lock is 1/4" thick which is fine, but the nails to hold the escutcheon on are almost 1/2" long. If I tried to use this the nails would hit the metal lock barely 1/8" in from the front. Luckily I did not cut the mortise yet so I had time to order a different style of lock. This is a nice, quality lock, but you need at least 3/4" wood to use it. I consider it user error so I gave it 4 stars for being a nice lock, however, some more detail in the description would have saved me the trouble.”
