I installed these on a bench which holds my hobby CNC setup, machine is approx. 200 lbs and bench is approx. 120 lbs. So well within the weight limits given. After installing and raising/lowering the bench several times I noticed it was not rolling nearly as smoothly as before. After inspecting, 3 of the 4 casters had bent plates. When you step down on the lever, there is the rounded part of the lever that drives the plate with the caster down. Then as you continue to step down, the rounded edge rotates past and the longer straight part of the lever is all the way down on the caster, essentially locking the caster in the down position. On three of mine, the plate the caster mounts to bent right where the rounded part of the lever hits it. This causes two issues. First the caster doesn't go down as far (which I could live with). But more importantly, when the plate is bent, the caster axis no longer sits perpendicular to the floor. This means that every time you try to change direction when the caster swivels, the bench actually has to move up or down some which makes it difficult to move the casters and they tend to self rotate so the wheel is all the way out, causing the bench to move unexpectedly. Probably ok for lighter weight benches, but I would be skeptical buying this is you know for certain the weight of your setup is 300lbs or more.
