Nice small plane, I have the medium as well but the small is much more handy. Cleaned the oil off adjusted and did some test cuts, sharp and cut great out of the box.

I haven't had this plane very long nor have I had much of a chance to use it a lot. It seems pretty solid and well built. I bought the smaller one because I wanted something to do smaller shoulders and such. I tried using it right out of the box but it wouldn't take much of a shaving. Once I sharpened the blade a bit, things were better. I think it should work well in the future. At this point, I'm not convinced that it's all that much better than the old wooden ones I bought at the antique store for $10 but we shall see.

This is a very good plane. Maybe not as good as LN or LV, but it’s well worth it’s price, and from my point of view indispensable for joinery work. The blade is good and the plane is square and flat. I use the 1/2” size all the time for cabinetry doors. If I lost it I would buy another one right away. My only complaint is the edges are somewhat sharp but that is picking nits. The reason for four stars is it could use a finer adjustment, there is some slop in the blade adjuster, not bad though. If you are serious about cabinetry you need this one.
