“Wish I would have read the gentlemans review from Salt Lake City. 1/2-12 thread size is worthless unless the bolts that come with the set are the length you need.”

“I bought these to hold together a workbench I've been working on. I knew when I purchased them, that I would probably need to get longer bolts. Easy to do that . . . right? Wrong!! The thread size of the bolts (and nuts) pre-dates World War I. The thread here is a 1/2-13 (13 threads per inch), not a standard 1/2 -12 (12 threads per inch) which you could find in about any hardware store. Why would anyone still be making anything with this thread size? The packaging (or website) does not list the thread size, only saying it's 1/2". That's not enough information! These are definitely quality bolts/nuts, but beware - only purchase these if you know the bolt length will work for you. BTW - I bought these quite a while before I needed them, so I'm not sure returning then is an option.”

“Overall this is an average set, nothing extraordinary. For bench applications I sincerely wish the bolt was longer; I'm having to seat the head of the bolt much deeper than I'd like to give adequate purchase to the barrel nut. The one bit completely incorrect is the bolt size...this takes a 21mm socket, not a 13/16" as noted. That cost me 2 trips to the store”
