“i picked up this kit to build a clamp table but was disappointed to find that the advertised flush mount with 3/4 inch stock is not accurate. Material is .68 thick so it sits lower than the rest of the table. If you are mounting this on the edge maybe not a big deal, but since my table is against a wall and i don't want the clamp handles sticking out the front i have the track set 8 inches into the table (this also provides more overall reach across the surface of the table). At least its not thicker than 3/4 so it doesn't sit proud. BUT the clamps that work with the trak are EXACTLY the width of the trak on the flat back edge. So if you try and turn the clamp at all it digs into the surrounding table top material and either gouges it or stops the clamp from moving. I ended up caring away all the edges near the trak so that i can position and turn the clamps as needed. Once in place they work great, but was not impressed with inaccurate description for thickness and flush mounting and with the design of the clamps for the trak that don't account for you turning the clamp.”
