Just got this set 12" Cole Jaws 6040 for my Teknatool SuperNova2 (pro-tech) chuck. The surface of the plates (cast aluminum) is very rough. 3 out of 4 plates are severely warped. They wobble and rock in all axis on my precision flat granite block. I could easily place 0.025" thickness gauge leaf under one corner while keeping another one touching the granite block. They are too far from to be called flat. The other biggest issue is that 8 black oxide bolts supplied with the plates are too long. They protrude 11 threads below the surface and it is too long to tighten the jaw to the chuck. They should be protruding no more than 4-5 threads below the surface to assure that bolts can be tighten. What happened to Teknatool which started sending customers unusable product? I am extremely disappointed. Will be returning the set to the Woodcraft.

If you have owned this item for over a year check for metal fatigue as mine came flying off at the speed of 450 RPM. I need to find a replacement for this requirement.

Was disappointed in the quality of this product. Retaining screws from Nova G3 chuck would not fit in recess holes in jaws. Had to file the recess openings down to get it to work. Was expecting the same quality as my Nova 16/24 lathe and my Nova chucks. Works fine after modifications.
