“I just picked up two of these at the store today, and for cheap(ish) fake carbon fiber boxes, they look pretty nice inside and out. The lid spring is *very* heavy (reminds me of struggling to open my parents' 60s/70s glasses cases as a small child, with small child muscles - and usually getting a finger snapped on hard) . No worries about it ever popping open unexpectedly, but with two-hands-and-a-grunt action, it's definitely not built for quick access. The big failing, though, comes from the ribbon. There's a picture of it holding a cigar on the package, but trying to get a real one in requires a fair bit of finesse - and with regular use (or once in a hurry) it feels like it's almost certainly going to tear out. If you're making fatter cigars - never mind big rollerballs & fountain pens - forget it. Overall it's not a bad box for the price, but it's just not built for the size pens it's advertised with. It'd likely be better for something more like a Euro, or matched slimline pen/pencil sets.”
