“All 5 of the tools, that are too heavy to pick up easily, are on this base - have them on a couple of cabinets for accessories and hand tools, as well. My shop is a small garage and tools MUST be moved around to use them efficiently, sometimes even out into the driveway. Works like a charm to make it easy to move even my heavy table saw/router table combo. Levers make it easy to raise the base to move the equipment and to lower to make the item stationary. Main thing is to choose the right thickness of plywood and base the bolt length used on the thickness of the wood. I have used 1/2-inch plywood under some lightweight tools, like my jigsaw, but recommend thicker as the 1/2-inch sags over time and has to be replaced. My floor is not the most level, so some adjustment of wheel height has been required, but that does not diminish the utility of the base. The ability to make the base exactly fit the tool is a BIG plus.”

“Assembled as instructed. Also have a PM1100 under my Miiter saw that has been perfect over the last few years. I bought this one for my new Rikon Band Saw. This PM1100 is supposed to be good for 400lb capacity , The saw is only about 300lbs. After assembly, the unit will not swivel easily and the short bolts still drag the floor. Will not try to make any adjustments (cut off the bolts) as I believe there is a weight capacity problem. Oh well, one good - one bad, batting .500.”

“Bought this for my router table, WC had it on sale for $50. I had no trouble getting it together and attached to a piece of 3/4" plywood. Instructions say to drill 1/2" holes in the plywood but I was able to use 3/8" holes no problem. Works fine, but I will say my shop floor is new and very flat, so it rolls well. I did see that the lifting casters on the front didn't have enough "lift", which caused the shafts on the casters to not be vertical. I added shims of 16 ga aluminum under the cam levers so they "lifted" the casters more, this helps the casters steer much better. I also have a set of these on a homemade cart that a friend gave me for my Dewalt planer, and he only used 1/2" plywood, and it is now sagging and making it harder to move around. I'll fix this when I make a new cart. BTW I know the specs say these are good for 400 lbs, but there's no way I'd go that high, maybe 150 lbs would be the limit.”

“I have this set under two jointers (4" and 6"), a 14" bandsaw and my midi lathe workstation. I like them well enough that I just bought two more for other tools in my part-time wood shop - garage. They roll and turn well enough on the cement floor, hold everything without sagging and are quite stable when set in place. Obviously, being able to perfectly fit the base of your tool is a great feature! My only quibble is, like others said, that floor clearance could/should be more, as it has a tendency to scrape and drag on uneven surfaces.”

“Put 10” lathe on a stand on the finished 3/4” base. The turns are not as smooth as the last base kit I bought about 15 years ago. Quality of wheels cheaper. Platform drags and requires more effort to move but keeping it since I had already put it together and I don’t need to move lathe far.”
