I made a walnut handle for this yesterday. It turned out really good. It’s the first time I’ve made a knife handle. It’s nice to shape it to your hand. I sympathize with the other reviews that say the tool for the screws is not included but I wanted to share that the torx driver included with Ring doorbells fits perfectly. I’ve used that torx driver to chance knife clips so it may be more standard in the knife world. Or you could do like others said and made your own studs. Brass rod would be nice.

If you are a beginner and want a fun project, I would recommend this kit. Watch 1 you tube video and then head to the wood shop or garage. It is very easy and requires very little in the way of tools. I would recommend that you get some 2 part epoxy as you will need this. Also, I would recommend that while at Woodcraft, pick up the steel rods to make your own rivets. Or take it to the next level and pick out a mosaic rod to really finish out the project nicely.

This kit does not come with any instructions! The "screws" are not the standard sizes and I believe they are called 'star torque screws', which is fine IF you have the very small driver. The steel and sheath appear to be of good quality. I would not recommend this kit.

This kit is almost worth the sale price. My problem is with the assembly instructions which to put it nicely are worthless. The handle Screws are in the same category as the instructions. The screw heads are screws like you would think they are more a fine spline head, not something a normal wood worker would have in his toolbox. Fortunately I am not planning on using the supplied screws, I have made my own Mosaic rivits. I would not recommend this knife kit to anyone.
