I bought this press in order to replace a Delta 18 I’ve had for several years. There’s nothing wrong with the Delta, just tired of changing belts. This press is nice as far as the electronics go and the ease of speed changes. Several of the depth stop, auto on/off features, bit selection features are found only in this press. Assembly was a challenge. First, the opening in the cast head which accepts the vertical post had significant rust inside. After multiple attempts to clean this rust off, I cleaned and greased the post and insertion was still very difficult requiring the use of a dead blow hammer and many blows to get the post fully seated. Second, the ring that holds the manual depth stop clamps to the bottom of the cast iron quill housing and is itself a cast iron piece. With gentle tightening and testing for tightness, the cast ring cracked in half and I am awaiting a replacement. Lastly the chuck is serviceable but far from precision. I have replaced it with a Llambrich keyless chuck. Overall pretty good so far.

Not a review. I would buy this drill press if they offered it as a benchtop model. I have had a benchtop drill press in my small shop for 32 years and only once or twice have I found a desire to have a floor model. A bench top version of this would be perfect for my needs.
