“This hose is EXTREMELY noisy straight out of the box... You will need serious ear protection if you don’t modify the hose in some way like I did. (Details below). Note: I only purchased the hose by itself, but I’m including my review under this kit as well to help others dealing with the noise issue. I found that changing the pressure/velocity/cfm of the hose will eliminate the noise it makes. I did this by inserting a standard size prescription pill bottle into the hose. I used a forstner bit to drill the bottom of the bottle out (effectively making it a tapered tube). Then I epoxied the lid on and drilled a 3/4” hole in the lid. I also tried just drilling a smaller hole in the bottom of the bottle and not using a lid, but it still made the loud squealing noise, so the “fix” must have something to do with how far away from the end of the hose the air change occurs. If you are using this for something other than dust collection and need the entire diameter of the hose available you might be able to solve the noise issue by limiting the amount of air being pulled through it at the vacuum source?”

“The hose and attachments seem like they are good quality. However, like some other reviewers... when I connected this using the adapter to my shopvac 2" port it makes such a terrible loud shrill trumpeting sound that even with ear protection I cannot use the hose. If you have a vac that isn't 2" connection, maybe your results will not include the loud shreeking.”
