“This thing is great! When I looked at it online, it didn’t seem like it was going to be that sturdy or beefy. But it feels like a piece of cast-iron. I had drilled some holes in some hardwood to set the hoops on my Japanese chisel set. These were destroyed by the end of it but I managed to get the hoops on at least 1/16 below the end of the wood handle. I was in my local Woodcraft and I decided I should get this hoop setting tool. One whack with the hammer and it moved it three times as much as a bunch of pounding with my homemade hoops setters. I use the tool to tighten all of my chisels, of which I have the 10 piece set from Woodcraft, and it only took about 10 minutes. My local Woodcraft store used to stock it. If they still had it, I would’ve purchased it sooner, knowing how solid it is, but I held off because it switched to be in an online only item. So I can say now, with all sincerity, that if you have a bunch of hoops to set on Japanese chisels… Do not hesitate and buy this!
