“My local store had a display of these calipers near the checkout with a deep discount, so I picked one up on impulse. When I got it home, however, I recognized what a mistake that was. If you read the documentation, you'll see that its resolution is to 0.01". That's hundredths of an inch, which makes it particularly useless if you're using the imperial system. If you want to measure something precisely at, say, 1/8 of an inch, the most you'll get from this caliper is 0.12 or 0.13 rather than 0.125, and so on for your decimal equivalents of fractional measurements. I would have returned it except that I wasn't returning to the store any time soon. Save your money, and put it toward something better.”

“Bought this recently for use on the new CNC. But i ended up buying a better unit from, believe it or not, from Harbor Freight for the same money. These calipers as advertised only provide .01" which is not sufficient for measuring tooling or parts thickness. Also there is no lock for the slide. Wasted $10 as bought on sale but still not worth it even at half price. Will be returning as soon as I can.”
