Fits a 2.5” top. If you want a thicker top, you will need to get creative, no instructions come with the vice. The face doesn’t fit flush, you will need a shimmed block on the face to match flush when clamping.

Depth of each of the jaws vary by about 1/16th on each side, making it out of flush against my workbench with how I mounted kt. Expected better quality for the price.

I really wish I would have read the one review before mine. I opened to find the vise for my new work bench didn't have any mounting hardware or a manual on any recommendations or anything. It looks like a quality vise but that was an out of the box let down.

Sometimes the full package is the best and this vise is definitely not the full package. There are no installation instructions, there are no hardware requirements, its a vise, and you have to figure out everything else on your own. Just makes the installation a bit more time consuming as well as having to make numerous trips to obtain hardware. Woodcraft fail for me again....

I received this vice quite some time ago I'm ready to install it on my newly build maple top. only to find that there are no mounting instructions. I'm not stupid but it would have been nice to have a recommendation for the proper size lag or screw to attach this to my bench. I would think it wouldn't be to much to ask for recommendations after all it is a little expensive not to provide this info. vise looks great I just don't want it to end up on my foot someday?
