“Normally, I don't write reviews, but I felt compeled to for this product. Over the past 8 years I have made a number of coffee mills using oak, hickory, exotic hardwood and accenting them with exotic hardwood and different hardware. Most were gifts while others were donated for fund raising events. Building the project can ba challenging, but rewarding. I have only minor issues with the mill itself. The first is that there is more play in gear mechanism. This is easily solved with a small washer. The other issue is that the gears appear to be a composite material. With the play in the gears this could lead to problems down the road because of the loose fitting gears. Even with these issues, I will continue to use these mills in future projects.”

“Made 10 of these exactly like the images shows using red oak about 3 years ago tried to sell them at $100 each at craft fairs and a few galleries still have 3 left, not a big seller here in the northeast but for what the mechanism cost with tax, shipping not to mention the wood and time involved I would do it again unless you're a hobbyist with time and a fat pension.”
