“If the 2 kits I ordered were not gifts for Christmas I would of sent back. I had to sand/plane a bunch of peices. one of my marble wood peices was so warped I had to cut down to a thin strip just to use and one of the purple heart peices was not even close to being purple. Also one of my maple strips had a big chunk missing that I could not even use. I had to add wood I had in stock just to make something that I could give as a present. Next time I will just hand pick my wood so I dont have to stress over getting taken by what they claim is just a glue,clamp and sand project!”

“These cutting boards do look great and the value when on sale is good (I paid $30). It is assumed the cutting board is ready to glue up, sand, and finish but that is not the case. The boards where very different sizes, some of the boards were as much as 1/4 - 1/2" taller than the rest. The cutting board requires many passes through the planer before the final sanding steps and routing can be done. Paying a premium price for pre-cut wood and a ready to build cutting board should be more precisely cut. It is hard to recommend the product if you already have the equipment to make cutting boards. Buy your own wood, cut it to the size you need, and away you go.”

“Bought this thinking I could save time making a gift. Poorly cut wood requires jointer before assembly. What is the point in paying a premium for pre-cut wood? Recommend hand selecting wood and cutting yourself.”
