None of the pieces are square. No matter how you arrange it there will be large gaps between glue lines. I even picked the best one from the available ones at the store and still can't make an acceptable product from it without re milling all the stock. I will be returning it unused.

Love this combination of wood. Just made this set and it was my first cutting board. Colors really popped when the Walrus Oil was applied!

I bought two of these kits intending to do an easy glue up project with my grandchildren. It turned out they were very poorly milled, and in the end, I needed to do the work myself in order to get it in as good of shape as possible and then plane down both sides, then correct the sloped edges. It will not be quite as noticeable now but it took a fair amount of milling on both sides and edges that the end result is not as big as you'd expect. What I learned from this is not to buy these kits online from Woodcraft. I did buy one a couple of years ago from the store near me and, of course, it could be felt and you could see that it had been milled correctly. I suspect these kits went on a good sale precisely because they knew they had a bad delivery of poorly milled stock to get rid of. But I expect better of Woodcraft.

First, I wasn't sure I was ever going to receive these, they came nearly 3 months after I ordered them and the date kept getting pushed back. But now that I have them I had to come back to the product to make sure I ordered what I thought I did - there is absolutely no chance the one I got is ready to just glue up! There are mill marks on nearly all the board edges, boards are different heights and the cuts aren't even clean on the edges! It looks like the maple was milled against the grain on the edge, it has strips of tear out. However, they're some of the taller boards so I suppose I can plane them down. Fortunately I have the tools to (hopefully) make this right and I bought these on sale but it's going to take quite a bit of time and effort to make this work. The description says they've "removed the tedious and steps [sic]" - it would be faster for me to mill the stock myself, I expect this cutting board will be a chore. Pretty disappointed.

Ordered on 12/06. Still waiting for it. Sent an email to customer service. A week later not even a reply. Have no problem charging my credit card on 12/06 though.

Looked at other reviews before buying, but bought while it was on sale. Turned out wonderful with very little sanding.

A cutting board with wormholes is not appropriate for use with food, yet each piece of marblewood had wormholes across multiple faces. The rest of the wood was fine, and the result looks nice even though I had to come up with a new layout. Learning that they sell kits with wood that is so obviously not fit for purpose has changed my opinion of Woodcraft.
